    Educational facilities

Philosophy of a technical and vocational training for the students of IHEC consists of a four-phase curriculum. First of all, students take part in theoretical classes mostly in classrooms supplemented by educational materials available form library and information systems. In this phase, more than 30 faculties of IHEC and nearly 50 guest instructors cooperate in conveying the theoretical knowledge to students. Second, the students experiment the theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms, in 26 labs and workshops that are among best ones in the province and even nationwide. In the third phase, the students start to put their knowledge into a more realistic action in Instructional and entrepreneurial farm. At last, in the fourth phase some of the more enthusiastic students start to cooperate with either the private sector-run farm, or Tehran university incubator. In this last phase the student start to work in real world with a controlled risk. For a better achievement in the so called model of training, IHEC needs to equip and improve the needed facilities in an ongoing manner.

    • Classrooms

There are 30 classrooms in different sizes mostly equipped with conventional instructional facilities like video projections, whiteboards, internet access and laptops.

    • Labs and workshops

There are 26 labs and workshops namely, hydraulic (very sophisticated and among the rare ones nationwide), machinery and irrigation workshop, entomology, biology,  botany, tissue culture, earth science, soil science, extraction and herbarium labs. Also there is a very beautiful collection of different aquariums for ornamental fish culture.

    • Instructional and entrepreneurial farm

Five ha of the arable land in an accessible place for students and their instructors is devoted to the students who should pass their apprenticeship courses. The students, who are due to work in the farm, should accept a special protocol for growing their products according to the instruction of their trainers. The men and women students have their separate change rooms and stores. The beautiful scene of the center takes place around June every year when the students harvest their products like cucumber, eggplant, tomato etc., proudly carrying them in their own bags to home. The students experiment various methods of irrigation, pest control, weeding etc. during their apprenticeship.

    • Private sector participation

About 50 ha of arable land of the center is planned to be leased to private sector for the sake of revenue and a good example of agriculture experience in real world in addition to some other educational benefits. Every contractor who is the winner of the contract is obliged to do some educational activities other than business activities. One of the contractors during his business period consulted to many of students for doing their projects and executed farm tours for managers and entrepreneurs of agriculture sector. Also they cooperate with IHEC officials during the visits to farms and educational facilities.
